[PL:A] The Plates of Firespit Island, Moonview Arena, Snowpoint Temple, and Everywhere Else (Ft. Dr. Michael LeVine) #202

What are the odds that Josh Fjelstad, Brooklyn podcaster, would be friends with a renowned slug scientist, who studied at KNOWN medical school, Cornell University and studied THINGS including SLUGS once? Pretty low, honesty, but here we are. We’re joined for our finale in ol’ Hisui by friend of the show and friend of the us, Mike LeVine. And YES, he does have a PhD and NO it’s NOT in slugs. This is it for our little sweeties Doug Farmer and Soren though! So long, slug-lovers!

[00:00:00] . Hello and welcome to Experian Share. My name is Girithanner. Giratina. I have to scroll

[00:00:16] up in the notes. AKA Santa Greenring. Beautiful name joined as always, but my co-host,

[00:00:20] Reggie Gash. Not as beautiful. Reggie Gash. Reggie G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G

[00:00:50] None of them are slugs. Uh, that's not true. Presently is definitely a suck. Oh, well, uh, I have

[00:00:57] accounted for that that we'll get to, but I will also say... Yes. I'm proud to announce that we

[00:01:02] will have an actual slug scientist on the program. The slug scientist... It's taken weeks and weeks.

[00:01:11] He's a busy man. Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of slugs. And he's like a trading card pro.

[00:01:18] Yeah, he is a Magic the Gathering champ professional player. Does that on the site, along with some

[00:01:25] other science I presume, but you know, predominantly the study of slugs, I think is my... Yeah, I'm

[00:01:31] really hoping to get down to brass tax with him. Yeah, I won't reveal who it is, but I feel like

[00:01:37] I've met him and I would... Would I describe him as a slug scientist? Hmm.

[00:01:45] Not in a million years, but I mean... Well, he's got a lot of acolytes here. Happy to see what his credentials are.

[00:01:51] It's hard to when I did the outreach for the slug scientist. I was like, you're that's uh,

[00:01:57] that's something you can do, right? Like I can't really keep track of all your PhDs and all these

[00:02:03] different certifications that he has. He was ready and willing to talk about slugs, so that's

[00:02:09] definitely part of it. All of us... I need another co-host who's ready and willing to talk about slugs.

[00:02:15] I am ready and willing to talk about slugs. Yeah, well... That's my thing! I can't believe

[00:02:20] you bring in someone else. It's just like... You know what? Malcolm Gladwell said,

[00:02:25] you spent 10,000 hours doing something and you're an expert at it. And you think I've... I haven't

[00:02:30] got picked up my Switch lately, but I think I've put 10,000 hours into this game. You think

[00:02:34] basically 10,000. Maybe if you took all of the Pokemon games, although I don't know unless you were

[00:02:41] just secretly doing that because it's sort of like a six-sense view. I don't think so. I think

[00:02:44] it's like... I think it's like 60 to like 80 hours we've spent per game. Yeah, I think that's about

[00:02:51] right. We're gonna get into... There's a lot of slug action this. Let's not blow our slug

[00:02:55] wand too early because we've got a lot to talk about this week. Joshua, we are stuck in...

[00:03:06] Sorry!

[00:03:09] We had to do it. We had to do it. It's the last episode of the season and old his...

[00:03:14] Oh yeah, we're not chasing waterfalls. I still don't have waterfalls. We've sort of been chasing them

[00:03:19] for... There are a lot of waterfalls actually. The biggest waterfalls in any Pokemon game I've ever

[00:03:23] seen, but we can't actually climb them, chase them. I got really sick of the Hesuy and Breviary

[00:03:31] call because I was just flying around so much. Oh, shit! I haven't tried calling Hesuy and Breviary

[00:03:37] since my flute turned into a different flute. Does it still work? It still works. Okay, thank goodness.

[00:03:43] Yeah. That's interesting though. You know, you wouldn't... You'd think it'd be like a dog whistle

[00:03:48] and they could only hear that one specific tone. And if the structure of the flute...

[00:03:51] They hear that one specific racist tweet. Yeah, that's what Breviary responds to.

[00:03:58] Joshua Sobby's got some problematic opinions. You take one look at her in her clairvoyance. She's

[00:04:04] like the Marianne Williamson of Pokemon. There's obviously a lot to talk about. Let's focus up. I want

[00:04:11] to talk about the final few plates and then we'll get into our request ranking for the week. Okay,

[00:04:17] probably could have split it up a little bit better. Yeah, we're so bad at this.

[00:04:21] We just like look at the list of like chapter like mission head titles and we're like, I don't know

[00:04:27] there's like a good place to start for. That's probably good. Little did we know that seeking

[00:04:32] the remaining plates is like kind of a whole other thing. Most of the plates? Fucking idiots.

[00:04:37] All right, focus up. We have plates to get. The first one is in the hands of

[00:04:44] Mellie. I think I think you can do them in any order. I'm curious to see how you approach you.

[00:04:49] I think I will. You can accept for you can't accept for snowboard.

[00:04:53] Because I tried doing that.

[00:04:56] To be the last one. Yeah, because you need all the other parts.

[00:04:59] So I did fire spit island. I basically did it. I don't think I really had this planned out,

[00:05:05] but I happened to basically do all of these in the order of chasing the massive mass outbreaks.

[00:05:11] So I had to go to the Cobalt coastlands next to also tackle those with my.

[00:05:17] And so I also did fire spit island. You want to start there? Yeah, sure.

[00:05:21] You have something to say about fire spit island. Who's out here?

[00:05:25] Which of those rascals was out here? Well, the Lord is there.

[00:05:30] Lord Arcanine and I got tricked into fighting him again.

[00:05:35] What? I don't know if you did this.

[00:05:38] I don't think so.

[00:05:39] Well, you apparently can rematch all of the lords of the arenas if you want.

[00:05:48] I don't really know why you would want.

[00:05:50] But I went there and I guess I would have been talked to that lady.

[00:05:54] Yeah, I talked to a Lena.

[00:05:56] Lena. She hates being called Lena.

[00:05:58] And you know what the weirdest part about them?

[00:06:00] Her being there too is what when you walk around the corner to go into the cave to fight

[00:06:06] the craze Pokemoner about to talk about. Yeah.

[00:06:09] It is like, oh sorry, Lena couldn't be here.

[00:06:12] She had something important to do back at like the like diamond clan HQ.

[00:06:16] And you can like literally walk like five steps away and see her.

[00:06:19] Right.

[00:06:20] Yeah, I guess I took a wrong turn and wasn't paying enough attention to the map

[00:06:25] because it does make it look like, oh, I have to go through the arena in order to get to the new cave.

[00:06:30] And as a result, I had to fight fucking Arcanine again.

[00:06:34] And then I realized, oh, I could have just gone the other way.

[00:06:37] He's like, he feels like he's really native to this place now, you know?

[00:06:42] To his zoo.

[00:06:43] Yeah, it's after a bad time.

[00:06:45] We can't do it anymore.

[00:06:46] I can.

[00:06:47] I mean, don't do it so loud that it would come through my headphones and wake miles up,

[00:06:51] probably like blow my head up.

[00:06:53] Well, I don't want that.

[00:06:55] Who's in here?

[00:06:55] Headless co-hosts.

[00:06:57] So on the other side if you go the right way,

[00:07:00] you go into the cave and there's a heat ran.

[00:07:04] Well, first it's Irita and he's scammed.

[00:07:07] Oh, yeah, you're right.

[00:07:09] Sorry.

[00:07:10] Believe that.

[00:07:10] Uh, Irita is fussy about the heat.

[00:07:15] Yeah, she doesn't like it.

[00:07:17] It's too hot for her.

[00:07:18] I'll tell you what, too hot for Doug too.

[00:07:21] I think it would be too hot for a slug.

[00:07:23] If it's too hot for a slug, it's too hot for Doug.

[00:07:26] Oh, good.

[00:07:28] You just had that one waiting in the canister.

[00:07:30] Yeah, it's sort of a hit factory up there.

[00:07:33] Yeah.

[00:07:34] Iskahn seems fine.

[00:07:36] I don't remember his deal.

[00:07:37] No, I felt neutral about Iskahn.

[00:07:40] Who was he?

[00:07:41] He gave us um, the bear.

[00:07:44] No, no, it's the Baskillesian guy.

[00:07:46] The very timid guy.

[00:07:50] Yeah, but they're in this cave as a big dumb heat ran.

[00:07:53] Not a slug, not interested.

[00:07:54] Killed it.

[00:07:55] Yeah, for some reason you have to, you have to hook mud balls at it to break down a barrier

[00:08:01] that it has.

[00:08:02] Yeah, it took, took me far too long to figure that out.

[00:08:05] Just like throwing my poke balls at it and running away.

[00:08:08] I was, let me alone.

[00:08:10] I was purely in the red like one more hit.

[00:08:13] I was going to die when I got like the last mud ball off on it.

[00:08:17] And then you just fight it.

[00:08:17] Yeah, normal.

[00:08:18] Well, they, they hinted pretty hard because there's the,

[00:08:21] his like little den is like literally there's like 30 on the ground.

[00:08:26] Yeah, you can't miss them.

[00:08:28] So yeah, it's a pretty easy puzzle to figure out.

[00:08:30] And then you can kill or catch heat ran.

[00:08:33] We'll obviously be releasing it, but um,

[00:08:36] we have to catch it because I know it's coming.

[00:08:40] We have to catch all the Pokemon.

[00:08:42] We have to try the very best like I whenever has.

[00:08:45] Let's see guagaboo guobaboo.

[00:08:51] Is what that's he train.

[00:08:53] He trans.

[00:08:54] Well, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[00:08:56] I took a photo of that too.

[00:08:57] It's not quite as cute as um, Arceus.

[00:09:01] Dialga.

[00:09:01] Yeah.

[00:09:03] I don't remember what it was.

[00:09:04] We can all find it in the previous episode and put it in here.

[00:09:12] What's next?

[00:09:14] Catch the heat ran.

[00:09:15] We're out of here.

[00:09:15] Jets.

[00:09:16] Where'd you go next?

[00:09:17] What was next on your agenda?

[00:09:18] Well, next you were chasing the big outbreaks.

[00:09:22] Yeah.

[00:09:23] Next I tried to do Snowboy Temple.

[00:09:26] And if you go down there,

[00:09:29] the door only reacts to certain plates

[00:09:32] and I didn't have the last one.

[00:09:33] So I was like, oh, okay.

[00:09:35] Get out of here, Josh.

[00:09:36] You think a reggae geek is going to respond

[00:09:38] to your puny little plate collection?

[00:09:41] I guess not.

[00:09:42] Get bent.

[00:09:42] Let's go to moonveerina.

[00:09:44] Moonveerina.

[00:09:45] This is where we fought um, Lilygant last time, I think.

[00:09:48] No, no, no.

[00:09:49] This is frenzied electrode because you know why?

[00:09:53] You know why I know that?

[00:09:55] Why?

[00:09:56] Because Mellie is here.

[00:09:57] Smellie-mellie.

[00:09:58] Oh god.

[00:09:59] And he goes on a rant about like,

[00:10:02] oh, I miss my precious Lord electrode.

[00:10:05] It's keeping me up at night to not know where he is

[00:10:08] and he's like clutching his chest.

[00:10:09] And then he says,

[00:10:12] wait, where is it?

[00:10:13] Why didn't it come back?

[00:10:14] The Cresselia, the so-called,

[00:10:18] according to you slug that we're going to be fighting pretty soon.

[00:10:21] Yeah.

[00:10:21] Chased it away.

[00:10:22] Cresselia came from the moon?

[00:10:25] I think the moon.

[00:10:26] Yeah, the moon's on the moon.

[00:10:27] The moon's muslims famously have feathers for instance.

[00:10:30] There's a lot of physiology that's a different about moon slugs but

[00:10:34] one of the key things is feathers.

[00:10:35] It's they glide on solar rays.

[00:10:37] Actually, it's how they move around in space and they kind of lock up in like a

[00:10:41] cocoon and that's how they travel in like the vacuumous space.

[00:10:44] Well, you can save that theory for the slug scientist

[00:10:48] because I was going to say,

[00:10:49] it's not a theory.

[00:10:50] I feel like slugs.

[00:10:51] Slugs if our guest is a slug scientist,

[00:10:53] and so am I.

[00:10:54] I was going to wait to talk about our credentials again but we did

[00:10:57] in the other episode talk about how we are very familiar with a lot of

[00:11:01] slimy things growing up.

[00:11:04] Salamanders.

[00:11:04] We did talk about that.

[00:11:06] Slugs frogs.

[00:11:07] So it's not that we're not slug scientists, I would say.

[00:11:12] But I don't have a PhD in slug science.

[00:11:15] Yeah, I don't think anyone on the show tonight is going to have a PhD in slug science.

[00:11:19] Slugology.

[00:11:21] But you were getting ahead of things.

[00:11:23] I wanted to say on the smelly,

[00:11:26] melee issue.

[00:11:27] Yeah, I felt vindicated that when he's going off on

[00:11:30] Cresselia and how she's a nightmare

[00:11:33] and we don't know anything about Pokemon because

[00:11:36] how could you not know what a Cresselia is?

[00:11:38] And it's like, how would I know what a moon slug is?

[00:11:40] Have I been to the moon?

[00:11:42] Yeah.

[00:11:42] And has melee?

[00:11:43] I don't know what God is, melee.

[00:11:45] I wish he'd get blasted to the fucking moon and Leigh and two.

[00:11:48] I wanted to call out the boywarden.

[00:11:51] He takes you aside at one point.

[00:11:53] Yeah, Leigh and Cresselia.

[00:11:54] They're still hanging out.

[00:11:56] Maybe.

[00:11:56] I think they're the worst people club here.

[00:11:58] Maybe, Melee, I might be getting the screenshots mixed up but you do talk to Leigh

[00:12:03] and about Melee on one of these adventures.

[00:12:07] Leigh and his like, I can't let myself be outdone by him.

[00:12:11] And I saw you react to him and I couldn't imagine that it was the case that you liked him.

[00:12:16] I'm sure it was a confused grimace or a smile you merely forced yourself to give him out of pity.

[00:12:23] Wow.

[00:12:23] So I love that the little boywarden also hates melee.

[00:12:27] And probably everybody does that were all mixed up in.

[00:12:31] I mean, I can't really keep track of.

[00:12:32] They're like, he's like probably let the junior

[00:12:35] warden and melee is like the senior warden or fucking whatever this hierarchy is.

[00:12:39] I can do something to hurt my social rank with melee but it improves my social rank with boywarden.

[00:12:49] That seems like dial well gaming that mechanic.

[00:12:53] But in any case, you exchange barbs with melee as usual and as usual,

[00:12:59] melee does nothing to solve the problem and we have to go into the den of the moon slug.

[00:13:05] Yeah.

[00:13:05] And this vindicvalidating me was infuriating the Crisale of situation.

[00:13:13] So you go into its den, all of your controls are inverted.

[00:13:18] So easy.

[00:13:19] It's so easy.

[00:13:20] No, no, that part was manageable for me.

[00:13:22] I was like, oh am I going to have to pick up fucking,

[00:13:24] you know, so fruits roots or something to also like hurl at it but all you have to do is get

[00:13:30] close enough using inverted controls and then throw a Pokemon at it to battle.

[00:13:34] What I hated was I was trying to catch it as we are.

[00:13:39] So I didn't want to just kill it.

[00:13:41] And so I kept using, I was using Luxray as usual with these Pokemon because it's again the only

[00:13:47] one that has a disabling move thunder wave.

[00:13:49] And so I had to just keep using wild charge and then I would throw in like, you know,

[00:13:55] play rough or fucking whatever to whittle it down and then thunder wave

[00:14:00] and I'm like, great.

[00:14:00] Gonna catch it and then it goes lunar blessing and then it recovers like most of its health

[00:14:05] and then it gets obscured.

[00:14:06] So then your moves start missing.

[00:14:08] You're just burn in pp.

[00:14:10] It's using moon light.

[00:14:11] It's using whatever all of its shit is.

[00:14:13] And I think I was in this battle for like 10 minutes because it just kept using lunar

[00:14:18] blessing and it would never get low enough that I could catch it.

[00:14:21] Yeah, the lunar blessing thing was really.

[00:14:23] And then all my moves are missing.

[00:14:25] And I wanted to just strangle the neck.

[00:14:28] I don't know if slugs have neck.

[00:14:29] That's one of the questions we're going to ask.

[00:14:31] But I wanted to strangle the neck on this thing which I assert is not a slug because it has

[00:14:37] lunar feathers.

[00:14:38] Do you think they do strangle it?

[00:14:39] It'll just grow a new neck.

[00:14:40] They don't have feathers, I think.

[00:14:43] We'll have to ask the slug scientist.

[00:14:45] Did you also have moon scientist?

[00:14:47] We're going to need a little knowledge and that didn't check that.

[00:14:50] We're going to have to ask that too.

[00:14:51] Did you...

[00:14:52] I don't think I struggled with that at all.

[00:14:53] I thought this sucked.

[00:14:54] This was like the hardest one.

[00:14:57] I ran in and all of a sudden I was running backwards and I was like,

[00:15:00] I get it.

[00:15:00] And there's little swirlies all over the screen.

[00:15:02] Yeah.

[00:15:03] Yeah, I don't think I had any problem with Chris Haley.

[00:15:05] Though I did do the same thing as you with Porygon Z.

[00:15:09] But to like ill effect, Porygon Z became like sort of the sacrificial lamb.

[00:15:15] Yeah.

[00:15:17] The sacrificial lamb this week because...

[00:15:20] sacrificial wulu.

[00:15:21] He also...

[00:15:22] Oh by the way, it took me far too long to figure out that you can just go into the menus.

[00:15:26] Change the Pokemon's moves at any time.

[00:15:29] Excuse me?

[00:15:30] I never needed to.

[00:15:32] But then I was finally just like, I should work on these moves.

[00:15:34] I wonder what I do with like kind of the TEM situation.

[00:15:38] And then I was like, oh, I could just go in and change the moves.

[00:15:41] Change moves was like the second option on the menu, the entire game.

[00:15:46] The other moves were fine, the entire game.

[00:15:48] But then I thought, you know what?

[00:15:50] Manifidae could probably use psychic.

[00:15:51] Yeah, I would say so.

[00:15:54] Did you know that um, what's her face at the training grounds?

[00:15:58] Israel or whatever.

[00:15:59] Yeah, yeah.

[00:16:00] No, I went and trained, trained them.

[00:16:01] Move some other stuff to Pokemon.

[00:16:02] Okay.

[00:16:03] But I never really like, screw it.

[00:16:04] I never got their move pulled up, you know, like...

[00:16:07] I never really like, you know about...

[00:16:08] About the work.

[00:16:09] Mastering moves that you can use the seed of mastery

[00:16:12] and although I never needed to.

[00:16:13] I always sold those because my Pokemon just mastered the move pretty quickly anyway.

[00:16:18] I replaced a bunch of moves going into the final battle that will be coming up to it.

[00:16:24] Well, I guess penultimate battle if you go all the way and do the final battle.

[00:16:28] But yeah, then I had to...

[00:16:30] That's fucking time.

[00:16:31] I finally had to use the seeds of mastery

[00:16:34] and I had like a dozen of them because I was like,

[00:16:36] I feel like I shouldn't sell these.

[00:16:38] But I don't really need them.

[00:16:39] And then I finally replaced like six moves across a bunch of Pokemon

[00:16:43] and then I immediately cash those in.

[00:16:46] Here's the thing with Poreganzi.

[00:16:48] It also knew Thunderwave.

[00:16:49] Yeah, I taught it Thunderwave and I was also using it to try to catch Pokemon

[00:16:53] but it was also under-leveled and it just kept dying.

[00:16:57] So then like, Manifee would come in and then I would catch the Pokemon

[00:17:00] and then Poreganzi would get none of the experience.

[00:17:03] So I think Poreganzi is my one Pokemon that I didn't manage to get up to the level cap.

[00:17:09] Well, we didn't even set a level cap although I did hit a specific level with all my Pokemon.

[00:17:15] I was going for the same level as you.

[00:17:18] Oh, okay.

[00:17:19] All of my Pokemon and that's...

[00:17:21] It seemed like a natural one of them.

[00:17:22] Stopping point.

[00:17:23] Yeah.

[00:17:24] Well, I just was like,

[00:17:25] I was a hoarder in this game and once I had over 100,000 bucks

[00:17:30] like consistently sitting around,

[00:17:32] I just started like banking things and not selling a bunch of trash

[00:17:36] like what the hell is that leaf?

[00:17:39] The little leaf that looks like a fan that I literally never used.

[00:17:43] I think the entire game.

[00:17:44] It doesn't matter.

[00:17:45] It's a real letter.

[00:17:46] All I need is tumble stones and...

[00:17:50] Or because all I'm making is ultra balls, baby.

[00:17:53] Yeah, I just...

[00:17:54] I only ever was making balls.

[00:17:56] I would always pick up wood

[00:17:57] and then I would make that Pocketshi doll.

[00:18:01] Pocketshi doll.

[00:18:02] Oh yeah.

[00:18:03] But I also sat on all of these like every, you know,

[00:18:07] candy from like experience small to extra large

[00:18:11] and rare candies.

[00:18:13] I sat all of those to my Pokemon immediate.

[00:18:15] No, I banked them for this moment thinking that we would battle

[00:18:19] and I blew all of them.

[00:18:20] A few of my Pokemon were already up there

[00:18:22] but then you put Palkeia

[00:18:24] and DiAlga in there a little bit,

[00:18:26] makes it up with some legendaries.

[00:18:27] Darkry a little.

[00:18:28] That's fun.

[00:18:29] Yeah.

[00:18:30] Start planning out them.

[00:18:31] I know that anybody else was going to say

[00:18:33] that that was a slug.

[00:18:35] The black part is it's like it's a coral

[00:18:38] and it's the slug.

[00:18:41] Well, save it.

[00:18:41] And then it's got this little like the white thing is it's tongue.

[00:18:44] You could save your little argument

[00:18:46] and we don't need to go into it.

[00:18:47] I said what I said.

[00:18:49] And I also have some new evidence about Darkry

[00:18:54] that's like going to be very devastating

[00:18:56] to your argument as well.

[00:18:58] Oh, I'd like to hear it.

[00:18:59] You will.

[00:19:00] Did I mention when I said was that my best request last week?

[00:19:03] The Dark Sum nightmare.

[00:19:05] Yeah, yeah it was.

[00:19:06] Which I did because we had a save file

[00:19:10] for brilliant diamond shining pearl.

[00:19:12] Did I mention that?

[00:19:13] I hypothesized it was like that

[00:19:16] because the shame in one was a sword and shield unlock.

[00:19:20] Okay, confirmed.

[00:19:21] And I did Dark Sum nightmare this week.

[00:19:23] So you saw Darkry.

[00:19:25] Yeah, I caught it.

[00:19:26] You know it's a slug.

[00:19:27] Feel that energy on it.

[00:19:28] I guess I should add another question

[00:19:30] for the slug scientist which is can slugs...

[00:19:33] Let me type this up.

[00:19:34] Can slugs teleport

[00:19:37] and or be undead?

[00:19:39] Some are.

[00:19:40] That's a good one.

[00:19:41] Yeah, that's a pretty scientific inquiry.

[00:19:45] Last plate, Joshua.

[00:19:48] So you say...

[00:19:50] It's a plate of snow point temple.

[00:19:52] Snow point temple.

[00:19:53] Alabaster Iceland's

[00:19:55] which is also where I did my final massive mess outbreak.

[00:20:00] Which one was that when the Blizzard?

[00:20:02] But we'll cover that.

[00:20:03] We'll cover that later.

[00:20:04] I guess we have to stay honed in

[00:20:06] on going to the snow point.

[00:20:08] Ridiculous!

[00:20:10] Yeah, your name's Nick this week.

[00:20:11] He's back here.

[00:20:13] He's looking...

[00:20:14] Splendid.

[00:20:15] Look at him.

[00:20:15] He's got his trees covering him.

[00:20:17] He's like being of pure creative force.

[00:20:21] One of the robots in Castle in the Sky.

[00:20:23] I'm gonna stand by that statement.

[00:20:26] Yeah.

[00:20:27] I mean, yeah, it looks just like it.

[00:20:28] It's better.

[00:20:29] It's better.

[00:20:29] It's better.

[00:20:31] That movie's too slow.

[00:20:32] I like that movie.

[00:20:33] I don't think it's bad.

[00:20:34] I think it's slow.

[00:20:35] Too slow.

[00:20:36] Do we want to step back into the Miyazaki discourse?

[00:20:40] No.

[00:20:40] Did we ever talk about Boy in the Haren?

[00:20:42] Because I thought that was like out of the gate.

[00:20:44] Out of the gate.

[00:20:45] Top tier.

[00:20:45] Oh, okay.

[00:20:46] Dove, dove, dove, dove, dove.

[00:20:51] Yeah, you just wander through the snow point temple

[00:20:53] and then you come to the door with sobby and I don't know.

[00:20:55] Adam and...

[00:20:56] Ridiculous!

[00:20:57] And Regikigas.

[00:20:59] Yes.

[00:21:00] And then you catch Regikigas because you have to

[00:21:02] catch everything.

[00:21:03] And it's bad.

[00:21:04] It was the easiest fight by far.

[00:21:06] Oh, yeah.

[00:21:07] I think I had something super effective for all of this.

[00:21:09] I just did one close combat and then it was basically dead

[00:21:12] than I thunder wave did and I caught it.

[00:21:14] And it killed nobody.

[00:21:16] And then we have just all of the remaining plates

[00:21:19] which is like most of the other plates left to go get.

[00:21:21] And it's like, too...

[00:21:22] Mommy has the first one.

[00:21:24] Yeah.

[00:21:25] Go take a meeting with mommy.

[00:21:26] She's like, here's your plate.

[00:21:27] Well, she says, oh, I've been eating off of this.

[00:21:30] I just need three pieces of wood.

[00:21:33] And that's how I will be able to tell you the secret

[00:21:36] of the 17th plate.

[00:21:38] Oh, yeah.

[00:21:38] And I had just as I was saying,

[00:21:40] I love carving those poqueshi dolls.

[00:21:43] So and I literally just done it

[00:21:44] and I was like, I don't have any fucking wood left

[00:21:46] and I had to go flying around obsidian fieldlands

[00:21:49] and just keep in the box.

[00:21:50] And then she is like, oh, thanks.

[00:21:53] I needed a new cutting board.

[00:21:55] Here's your...

[00:21:56] Pixie plate.

[00:21:56] That's what she uses.

[00:21:57] And what is it?

[00:21:57] Pixie plate, I think, too.

[00:21:59] Yeah.

[00:22:00] No, it is Pixie plate.

[00:22:01] She's been using the Pixie plate as her chopping board

[00:22:04] and so she wants a new one.

[00:22:06] Yeah, I think...

[00:22:07] Who's there with us?

[00:22:08] Volo, even Volo's like...

[00:22:09] What about all this like sacred writing

[00:22:11] on the back where you concerned about that?

[00:22:13] And she was like, yeah, I didn't really think about it.

[00:22:15] Oh, I just thought that that was an Ina-Garden recipe.

[00:22:18] Yeah.

[00:22:19] Make up the top.

[00:22:19] Okay.

[00:22:20] The plates are intact.

[00:22:22] Volo and I are becoming like fast friends, close allies.

[00:22:27] Couldn't be tighter.

[00:22:30] And Chumier and more in love.

[00:22:34] The kind of love that two respectful colleagues have for one another.

[00:22:39] Yeah, you're adventuring around this whole time with Volo.

[00:22:42] And here we are at the top of Mount...

[00:22:44] It's no point temple.

[00:22:45] Yeah.

[00:22:46] Mount Coronet.

[00:22:47] No, whoa, whoa, whoa.

[00:22:48] Yeah, you have to go to the Coronet Highlands

[00:22:51] and you have to go to admire the statues,

[00:22:56] the broken statue and Volo's like,

[00:22:58] what do you think this one was?

[00:22:59] Do you think it was like a really messed up looking worm thing

[00:23:03] that probably is a slug?

[00:23:05] And definitely a slug.

[00:23:06] Yeah, definitely a slug.

[00:23:07] It's destroyed because everybody hated it

[00:23:08] and then he's like, oh, it's, it's Giratina.

[00:23:11] Giratina.

[00:23:11] And he's like, where do you think that might be?

[00:23:13] Do you think it might be where we found Dialga and Palkiah?

[00:23:17] Hey, up at the Sinnoh...

[00:23:19] I don't appreciate this tone you're taking for Volo.

[00:23:23] Just got done today.

[00:23:24] He's a close friend in the alley.

[00:23:27] Yeah.

[00:23:28] Yeah, sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself.

[00:23:29] I do.

[00:23:30] Yeah, Joshua.

[00:23:30] Canonically.

[00:23:31] Love.

[00:23:32] Volo is is luring us to Snowpoint Temple

[00:23:36] where we will go to...

[00:23:39] Figure out whenever this honey trap is

[00:23:41] that he's luring us to after this break.

[00:23:44] Sorry, I was trying to think of a good approach to it

[00:23:46] but I couldn't think of one

[00:23:47] and it just felt mean to trick you.

[00:23:49] That's fine.

[00:23:50] Number 3

[00:23:54] Working at your local tims is more than serving coffee.

[00:23:57] It's building connections with a team in a great environment,

[00:24:00] connecting with your guests in the community

[00:24:05] and Hockey Card Trade Nights.

[00:24:07] So join your local tims team today.

[00:24:10] Apply now at careers.timhortons.ca

[00:24:17] All righty then.

[00:24:20] He's Ventura.

[00:24:21] I know him.

[00:24:22] Joshua, welcome back, bug by and yours.

[00:24:24] Welcome back.

[00:24:24] Welcome back to his...

[00:24:26] We are on the steps.

[00:24:28] Sorry.

[00:24:29] I had to do all my time.

[00:24:29] Speaking of steps.

[00:24:30] I stepped on your...

[00:24:33] We're on the steps of Snowpoint Temple.

[00:24:36] Well now we're heading up to Temple of Sinnoh.

[00:24:40] Yeah.

[00:24:40] We're on the steps of the Temple of Sinnoh

[00:24:42] and Volo reveals his true identity.

[00:24:46] Yeah, um, pit.

[00:24:47] He looks like pit from Kid Egris.

[00:24:51] Yeah, he does look like pit from Kid Egris.

[00:24:52] He's got a whole new get up.

[00:24:54] Lunar hair.

[00:24:55] I mean he looks like...

[00:24:56] I think he's going for like an archius look.

[00:24:59] He's like an archius like Stan.

[00:25:01] Yeah, like an acolyte.

[00:25:03] He really wants to meet Archius.

[00:25:05] He thinks that getting all the plates

[00:25:08] to the Temple of Sinnoh is the only way to do that.

[00:25:12] He is, in fact, right.

[00:25:15] But we're missing, still missing a plate.

[00:25:18] That's right.

[00:25:18] But we get up there.

[00:25:19] It turns out he has it.

[00:25:21] He whips off his costume.

[00:25:23] He's the villain.

[00:25:24] It looks...

[00:25:24] Fucking knew it.

[00:25:25] Yeah, you didn't like him for a low beginning.

[00:25:27] I fell for his good looks and charming demeanor

[00:25:30] and all the free items he gave me.

[00:25:33] The bonding that we did.

[00:25:34] We're just simping looking for all these plates.

[00:25:37] Yeah, I'm a simp.

[00:25:38] He then gets into a battle with you.

[00:25:43] I went in with roughly the team I had level-wise last week

[00:25:49] and barely scraped through the battle

[00:25:52] with Volo.

[00:25:53] A surprise guest shows up, almost made it through the battle

[00:25:57] with the surprise guest.

[00:25:59] Like I had to pop every max revive I had.

[00:26:02] And then the surprise guest does turn into its origin form.

[00:26:08] Yeah, origin form.

[00:26:09] And then absolutely obliterated me.

[00:26:11] So I did have to go back to Jubalife,

[00:26:14] do a little training and do some side missions in...

[00:26:19] Request ranking!

[00:26:20] Request for ranking!

[00:26:24] Yeah, I got absolutely obliterated the first time

[00:26:26] I went up there.

[00:26:27] I actually did it.

[00:26:29] I did it in one shot.

[00:26:31] It was not easy.

[00:26:32] We'll get into that, but I did do it in one shot.

[00:26:35] I'm pretty proud of that.

[00:26:37] It was like a final fantasy battle.

[00:26:38] It's just like kept coming, I mean.

[00:26:40] It was like, ugh!

[00:26:42] Yeah, I'll say in general,

[00:26:43] I'm very impressed with the battles

[00:26:46] that they built for this game.

[00:26:48] Yeah, it's a fun game.

[00:26:49] And I'm so glad we should mention,

[00:26:51] by the way, this is a Pokemon news corner.

[00:26:54] Oh yeah.

[00:26:54] So excited that they announced Pokemon Alpha Z.

[00:26:58] Yeah, Pokemon Legends ZA.

[00:27:01] Yeah, right.

[00:27:03] God.

[00:27:03] Yeah.

[00:27:04] I got into a lot of comments on Reddit

[00:27:07] about speculating like, oh well,

[00:27:10] Nintendo of America said set entirely within Lumios

[00:27:13] and then Pokemon Japan or Pokemon Company

[00:27:16] or Nintendo or fucking whatever was like in Lumios

[00:27:20] but it doesn't...

[00:27:20] And they're like, wait, is it all going to be within the city?

[00:27:23] And like, is this cyberpunk?

[00:27:26] Yeah, it's that...

[00:27:27] Well, then that was the other part was,

[00:27:29] oh, is this going to be a reconstruction of Lumios

[00:27:32] after the events of X and Y, where it gets destroyed

[00:27:35] and then they're rebuilding it.

[00:27:37] Whereas I think...

[00:27:38] I would take the side...

[00:27:40] I would take the side of a...

[00:27:41] I mean, yeah, the Eternal Flowet with AZs.

[00:27:46] Eternal Flowet.

[00:27:47] I've been waiting 3,000 years.

[00:27:49] It's like the story of how they built Lumios

[00:27:52] whether or not it's set entirely within it

[00:27:54] rather than like post reconstruction Lumios.

[00:27:57] Oh cool, it's going to be like Steam Punk.

[00:27:59] I mean, that's what that trailer looks like to me, I think.

[00:28:02] That's Pokemon News Corner.

[00:28:05] Now let's get into the requests.

[00:28:07] What's your best?

[00:28:08] Daybreak.

[00:28:09] The Daybreak line is really fun, but also I'll let you talk about

[00:28:11] the Daybreak line because what I want to talk about

[00:28:13] is what happened after the Daybreak line

[00:28:15] which is the Path of Solitude.

[00:28:18] Oh, okay.

[00:28:19] And you like...

[00:28:20] Did you take any Pokemon on the Path of Solitude?

[00:28:24] I just tried to do it with the specific Pokemon that Rai...

[00:28:31] Whatever his name is, the trainer who's off to the side

[00:28:34] gives you like 7 or 10 side quests that are all

[00:28:38] do the Path of Solitude with Blyssi and Sneasel

[00:28:41] and all this shit.

[00:28:42] And they all got one hidden

[00:28:45] and I was like, no, I'm just not going to do that.

[00:28:48] The way it works is you get one Pokemon that goes in

[00:28:52] and it's at the training ground.

[00:28:54] It's Ingo.

[00:28:55] It's our friend Ingo, is it?

[00:28:57] Yeah, Ingo's who you go to to set him up.

[00:28:59] I think Commado is the one who announces the new battle style though.

[00:29:03] Garrett.

[00:29:04] Excuse me, it's Garrett who gives you those Pokemon requests,

[00:29:09] those matchup ones.

[00:29:11] That is the name of Garrett.

[00:29:13] Huh.

[00:29:14] Guess I'm not the only one who can't keep track

[00:29:17] of all these fucking names.

[00:29:19] Well they all look the same too which is...

[00:29:21] They look great.

[00:29:22] Yeah but yeah.

[00:29:24] To tell the department they all have big...

[00:29:25] A lot of copy and pasting of like what their actual

[00:29:29] looks are.

[00:29:29] Here's the thing, Joshua.

[00:29:30] You go into a battle and you were pitted against your perfect nemesis.

[00:29:35] The Pokemon that's been perfectly selected to destroy you,

[00:29:39] whatever Pokemon you've brought into battle.

[00:29:42] And it's really hard.

[00:29:43] I didn't really do well on that but I think it's kind of fun.

[00:29:45] It's neat.

[00:29:46] Yeah, it's neat.

[00:29:47] It's neat thing that.

[00:29:47] It's like their battle tower.

[00:29:49] Souls like fine.

[00:29:52] What?

[00:29:52] Let's walk me through Daybreak.

[00:29:55] So Daybreak was completed after I done

[00:29:58] the massive mass outbreak.

[00:29:59] So I think it's triggered by at least doing new anomaly

[00:30:03] because I beat all of those.

[00:30:05] And then I think also a couple of quests that are related to

[00:30:09] Irida and Adam and that I will get to in a moment.

[00:30:12] But I came around on the massive mass outbreaks

[00:30:15] if you recall I was a little indifferent about it

[00:30:19] and over the course of this leg in particular

[00:30:22] I made...

[00:30:23] I had some pretty tough ones.

[00:30:25] There were a lot of like once you were able to give

[00:30:27] a guava berries to the munchlax and then figure out where to go.

[00:30:31] I pinpointed like oh I don't have a potcher risu

[00:30:34] and I don't have mag bees or whatever

[00:30:38] and ended up actually in like a few dices scenarios

[00:30:41] that were pretty challenging.

[00:30:42] We're like the potcher risus I didn't complete it in time

[00:30:46] and then they respawn and there were four alpha potcher risus

[00:30:50] which was also really funny looking

[00:30:52] and then there was one that I...

[00:30:54] Alpha stunkies.

[00:30:57] You...

[00:30:57] I didn't get that fortunately.

[00:30:59] I did the one that I got that was the hardest

[00:31:01] was the ride on massive mass outbreak

[00:31:04] and at one point it was any one of my Pokemon versus four ride on

[00:31:09] and they were all level like 60 or whatever

[00:31:12] so that actually was like a nightmare

[00:31:14] and then I think so I thought that the

[00:31:18] I think that element is actually pretty fun and interesting

[00:31:22] and it makes you re-explore the map again

[00:31:24] which I'm sure is the intention but then also

[00:31:27] I think the outbreaks are fun too.

[00:31:29] That's... no that's what I mean

[00:31:30] like I re-explore the map as a result of trying to do it

[00:31:33] I actually kind of like that there is a time limit

[00:31:37] but it's not too stressful

[00:31:39] and then the reward at the end is uh

[00:31:42] well I have two comments about it

[00:31:44] It's very cute

[00:31:45] The end of the quest line for daybreak

[00:31:48] is you get like a cute cutscene where

[00:31:50] it's you iirada adaman um and I think the boywarden leon i think is there too

[00:31:56] and you're all just like scaring and a breathtaking

[00:31:59] like new dawn and you're marveling in the beauty of his sui

[00:32:03] which was fun.

[00:32:04] It happens a lot in this game honestly

[00:32:06] but then my my complete... I guess the disappointing part to me

[00:32:10] is that they're basically like maybe the

[00:32:13] we... our hypothesis is maybe the Pokemon and the massive mass outbreaks are

[00:32:18] leftover energy from the time space distortion

[00:32:21] or maybe it just means we have a lot more to learn about the world around us

[00:32:25] and they're like okay bye

[00:32:26] so like no resolution which is also sort of

[00:32:29] the entire main story as well

[00:32:32] but that i enjoyed it a lot.

[00:32:34] I thought it was great.

[00:32:35] A worse request

[00:32:36] We have the same one

[00:32:37] The diamond

[00:32:38] The diamond

[00:32:39] The clans treasure

[00:32:40] And the pearl clans treasure

[00:32:42] You go off on your ramp because I think my reason for not liking it

[00:32:47] is going to be the perfect segue for bringing in our

[00:32:49] our slug scientist.

[00:32:50] Okay great

[00:32:54] Yeah my my complaint with this is just like

[00:32:58] all that it is is finding ira and adaman at like different

[00:33:02] cliff sides or whatever and they're like

[00:33:04] whoo whoo whoo

[00:33:05] Like I got a secret to tell you

[00:33:07] I'm really bad at battle

[00:33:08] But you're gonna have to battle me first

[00:33:10] And yeah

[00:33:11] These are the clan leaders

[00:33:13] okay

[00:33:13] Let's remind everyone of that

[00:33:15] And they have cool teams that should be great in execution

[00:33:20] They each have three different evolutions

[00:33:23] Look nice

[00:33:24] Right they look beautiful stunning

[00:33:26] It's a three on one

[00:33:28] The problem is

[00:33:29] They're ace

[00:33:30] You don't have to be so easy

[00:33:31] Yeah well the problem

[00:33:33] Right it's too easy

[00:33:35] A lot of the battles on this leg have been really tough

[00:33:37] And I have been appreciating that

[00:33:40] This is a letdown where glacion and leafyon

[00:33:43] respectively are their aces

[00:33:45] Is level 65 great

[00:33:47] But then the other two are both level 34

[00:33:50] And so you target 65 immediately

[00:33:53] And then once that's done it's just it's curtains

[00:33:56] Yeah and at this point I mean I was just saying

[00:33:58] I had to fight like four right-ons

[00:33:59] That were all level 60 or whatever

[00:34:02] At the same time

[00:34:03] Just give me my lowest level was probably 70

[00:34:06] Give me three level 65

[00:34:07] Evolutions

[00:34:08] Same time

[00:34:09] Yeah I can take it

[00:34:10] I can take it

[00:34:11] There are the leaders as a clans

[00:34:13] Like they should be able to not only beat me in battle

[00:34:15] They should be able to just have me executed

[00:34:17] And get away with it

[00:34:18] Like me so

[00:34:19] And what do you get?

[00:34:20] And what do you get for it?

[00:34:21] And then they you beat them

[00:34:22] And then they give away like the priceless heirlooms

[00:34:25] That have been handed down from like clan leader

[00:34:28] From generation to generation

[00:34:30] And they've got it

[00:34:31] They've dug

[00:34:32] And they just give it away

[00:34:34] Like I don't even want this

[00:34:36] Because they're both terrible

[00:34:37] What like day-ons will be

[00:34:39] Alchia right?

[00:34:40] Like Adam and Orbor

[00:34:42] Luster's Orbor

[00:34:43] And it's a perfect time to bring in our slug scientists

[00:34:46] Because I do think

[00:34:47] I don't think that the Adam and Orb

[00:34:50] makes palchia more of a slug

[00:34:53] But I think it's a parallel slug move

[00:34:55] Because he loses his arms

[00:34:57] But he does grow two extra legs

[00:34:59] Okay, yeah

[00:35:00] So we do have to talk about that

[00:35:01] I had that on my notes

[00:35:03] That I wanted to talk about

[00:35:05] Origin for me

[00:35:06] Palchia

[00:35:07] Because I didn't get to see it

[00:35:08] But I looked it up

[00:35:09] So I'd be informed

[00:35:10] But speaking of informed

[00:35:12] We're going to go into level check

[00:35:14] Okay

[00:35:15] And then we will talk about volo

[00:35:16] But we need to get the slug scientist in here

[00:35:19] So

[00:35:20] It's

[00:35:21] Level check

[00:35:22] Featuring

[00:35:22] Actual slug scientist

[00:35:24] Debatable

[00:35:26] Michael Levine

[00:35:32] I've never seen your studio before

[00:35:34] And I knew about this jar jar pink thing

[00:35:37] Because you talked about it one thing

[00:35:40] The shrine

[00:35:41] It looks like you cut off jar jar pink's head

[00:35:43] It's a backpack

[00:35:44] It's a backpack

[00:35:46] Holy yeah

[00:35:47] Which is that you see

[00:35:48] You see the ears go around you

[00:35:49] Like

[00:35:50] You see how he has the curves too

[00:35:51] No, that would be good

[00:35:53] If the ears were the arm

[00:35:55] The arm hole

[00:35:55] You want to have

[00:35:57] Yeah, which one is this curtain

[00:35:59] Well, so he can have some

[00:36:00] Private bunk time if he needs it

[00:36:02] Welcome to the show

[00:36:04] Dr.

[00:36:05] Mike Levine

[00:36:06] Yeah, Dr.

[00:36:07] Michael Levine

[00:36:08] Slug scientist

[00:36:09] Slug scientist

[00:36:10] I am a slug scientist

[00:36:12] Oh, I'm so interested to dig into your background

[00:36:14] And your history

[00:36:15] And your qualifications

[00:36:17] As a slug scientist

[00:36:18] Please tell us first

[00:36:20] Where did you go to school

[00:36:20] And what did you go to school for

[00:36:22] Um

[00:36:22] What was your doctorate in

[00:36:23] Well, I did my PhD at Cornell

[00:36:26] And my doctorate is in physiology and biophysics

[00:36:30] Of

[00:36:30] Of

[00:36:31] Anything

[00:36:32] Anything

[00:36:33] Yeah, physiology and biophysics of anything

[00:36:36] It turns out to be a scientist

[00:36:37] You have to just kind of be prepared

[00:36:38] To work on anything

[00:36:39] You'll even know the weird kinds of animals

[00:36:42] That you have to study to do experiments

[00:36:44] You can't just do every experiment on humans

[00:36:46] You literally studied slugs

[00:36:47] Did you have to die in school

[00:36:49] You're in med school

[00:36:51] I was at a med school

[00:36:52] Doing my PhD technically

[00:36:53] What do you call that?

[00:36:54] How many medical school

[00:36:55] How many are known about that

[00:36:57] How many PhDs do you have

[00:36:59] I mean, you really only get one

[00:37:00] Anyone who has more than a PhD

[00:37:02] Is definitely lying to you

[00:37:03] Or has like

[00:37:04] Fakes so just

[00:37:04] Okay

[00:37:05] So just the one

[00:37:06] Just the one

[00:37:07] Just the one

[00:37:07] I definitely have dissected slugs

[00:37:09] At some point in my education

[00:37:11] I have worked in labs that worked on

[00:37:14] Fish and birds

[00:37:16] And

[00:37:17] Technically, I guess mice

[00:37:19] Lots of bacteria

[00:37:20] So a bunch of

[00:37:21] Slimy

[00:37:22] So there are a lot of things with very

[00:37:24] Very things

[00:37:25] So a lot of those things have bones

[00:37:26] Which is a crucial thing

[00:37:28] That slugs don't have

[00:37:30] Well if you

[00:37:31] If you truly do have one of the

[00:37:32] Ford行s we know

[00:37:34] It'll be nice to have a peer on the show

[00:37:36] The fellow slug expert

[00:37:38] I am an expert, you know

[00:37:39] Do you know how scientists do the

[00:37:41] Swervey way

[00:37:41] Scientists become experts

[00:37:42] But I first become experts in one thing

[00:37:44] And then using Wikipedia

[00:37:46] Did you got experts in another thing

[00:37:48] Oh that's like how

[00:37:50] Yeah, that's like

[00:37:51] Me being a historian

[00:37:53] Where I studied history in college

[00:37:54] And now I spend most of my time

[00:37:56] When I'm not playing Pokemon

[00:37:58] On Wikipedia reading about obscure historical events

[00:38:00] Exactly

[00:38:01] Like sometimes maybe you'll go to Google Scholar

[00:38:04] And look for real papers

[00:38:05] Because you have the thing you want to learn about

[00:38:07] But you kind of always started with Wikipedia

[00:38:09] You don't even know my work computer

[00:38:10] I have so many Wikipedia tabs open

[00:38:14] I love to compare tabs sometimes

[00:38:16] It's like this is like

[00:38:17] What they don't teach you in Harvard

[00:38:19] Business school

[00:38:20] Your impression of that

[00:38:21] This is what they don't teach you

[00:38:22] A Cornell Medical School

[00:38:24] Yeah, they don't teach you how to use Wikipedia properly

[00:38:26] They really should

[00:38:27] Uh here's we're doing level check Mike

[00:38:30] You've been on the show before

[00:38:31] Everyone welcome back Mike Levine

[00:38:32] He came onto play

[00:38:33] Pokemon trading card game with Josh

[00:38:36] Pretty good game

[00:38:37] And he is also uh

[00:38:38] The moderator of the

[00:38:40] Reddit, the subreddit

[00:38:41] Reddit.com slash r slash bug catchers

[00:38:43] Where he hosts the level checks

[00:38:45] Yeah

[00:38:45] So very fitting to have you on here for the level check

[00:38:47] I am the reason the level check is almost always late

[00:38:50] Well, so happens

[00:38:52] We're also always late on posting uh

[00:38:54] Anything about the show these days on social media

[00:38:57] So busy people uh

[00:38:59] Here's my team we're doing level check

[00:39:00] I think this I'm

[00:39:01] Let's let's start with confident

[00:39:04] Because I don't have any slugs in my team

[00:39:06] We still don't thank you

[00:39:07] Oh, I don't know

[00:39:08] Maybe you think there's probably one slug

[00:39:10] But it's a slug that's on

[00:39:11] Tanner's team also

[00:39:13] Okay

[00:39:13] It's clear mine

[00:39:14] And then let's focus

[00:39:15] Let's really hone in on Doug Farmer

[00:39:18] I see one slug

[00:39:19] Three invertebrates on your team

[00:39:21] Interesting

[00:39:22] In Fidget

[00:39:23] Josh, you think Samarot

[00:39:25] Philippus

[00:39:26] Soren's first Pokemon

[00:39:28] Philippus

[00:39:29] Samarot

[00:39:30] Do you think that's that's got bones

[00:39:31] I'm gonna look up each one as we go

[00:39:35] Yeah, I'm not gonna make an argument

[00:39:37] Okay, fresh

[00:39:38] A very important part of being a slug

[00:39:40] Is not having a shell

[00:39:42] And that has a shell on a head

[00:39:44] So it's definitely not a slug

[00:39:46] Okay, we allow snails to have a slug

[00:39:49] Well, so if you allow snails

[00:39:50] That that gives you some extra flexibility

[00:39:53] It could be a snail

[00:39:55] I agree but it I mean

[00:39:56] Does it pass the small test

[00:39:58] When you look at that thing

[00:39:59] Which has a nose

[00:40:01] And whiskers

[00:40:02] No, no

[00:40:02] Yeah, this is not gonna have a slug

[00:40:04] Definitely not a slug

[00:40:05] Norse snail

[00:40:06] Yeah

[00:40:07] Level 75

[00:40:08] I will just say it

[00:40:09] Every single one of my Pokemon is level 75

[00:40:12] The good level

[00:40:12] As I was saying to Tanner earlier

[00:40:14] I timed all of my candies

[00:40:17] So that they would all be the same level

[00:40:19] Because we thought we would be able to balance

[00:40:21] I have to wrap our heads around

[00:40:24] So you would have killed me

[00:40:25] I think so

[00:40:26] And we might try to game that out one way or another

[00:40:30] Because we couldn't get Pokemon showdown

[00:40:32] We couldn't hack it

[00:40:33] Amit Driftblum

[00:40:35] That's balloon

[00:40:37] Yeah, invert a bit for sure

[00:40:38] Not a slug definitely

[00:40:40] Well, I guess I can pepper in a couple

[00:40:41] My related questions Mike while you're here

[00:40:44] About slugs

[00:40:44] Can they be undead

[00:40:47] Can they be undead

[00:40:48] Now I do think there could be zombie slugs

[00:40:51] There's nothing stopping a slug

[00:40:53] From being a zombie slug

[00:40:55] And there's tons of cool fungus

[00:40:57] That take over

[00:40:59] And those bodies

[00:41:00] And make them into weird zombies

[00:41:01] Usually they take over ants

[00:41:03] But you could imagine

[00:41:04] That's what Paris is based on

[00:41:07] That reminds me of um

[00:41:09] Paris and Parasect

[00:41:10] Do you know about that?

[00:41:11] Because that's one of those

[00:41:13] I didn't hear it

[00:41:13] So you could imagine some fungus

[00:41:16] They can turn a slug into a zombie

[00:41:18] That is that is completely possible

[00:41:20] Does that exist

[00:41:21] I don't think so

[00:41:23] Wow

[00:41:23] You could have

[00:41:24] That's coming from the mouth of a slug

[00:41:26] A doctor of slug science

[00:41:28] People

[00:41:29] Slugology

[00:41:30] So there could be one

[00:41:31] Just like a shrug and

[00:41:33] Could happen

[00:41:34] There's a lot of hypotheticals in science

[00:41:37] You know

[00:41:37] Could someone make one in a lab

[00:41:39] Oh no

[00:41:40] Is it a thing you might want to make it a lab

[00:41:42] Who knows

[00:41:42] Who knows

[00:41:43] Oh no

[00:41:44] How is Driftblum watching this

[00:41:45] Type of hypotheticals

[00:41:46] That's our indeed job to figure out

[00:41:48] Whether he's got this should make it

[00:41:50] Now is Driftblum

[00:41:51] One of these

[00:41:52] I'm going to go with probably not

[00:41:54] Probably not

[00:41:55] I don't have to have slugs

[00:41:56] But I am curious

[00:41:58] Björny the lux ray

[00:41:59] That's not a slug

[00:42:00] That's absolutely not

[00:42:01] The electric lion

[00:42:02] Lion

[00:42:03] Franegh

[00:42:04] Tuxa croak

[00:42:06] Bones

[00:42:06] Nope

[00:42:07] Yeah

[00:42:07] Frogs

[00:42:08] It has bones

[00:42:09] Yeah

[00:42:10] Frogs have bones

[00:42:10] I think we know that

[00:42:11] Have you ever eaten frog

[00:42:12] Do it definitely know they have bones then

[00:42:15] No but I have dissected

[00:42:16] I like frogs two and a year

[00:42:18] Do you remember seeing bones in there

[00:42:20] Yeah they got a lot of bones

[00:42:21] Okay way too bony

[00:42:23] Now here's

[00:42:24] No in fact I'm going to do one

[00:42:26] Before I get to the main course

[00:42:28] Speaking of

[00:42:29] The hemith alpha clevor

[00:42:31] Rocks

[00:42:32] Bones

[00:42:33] Axes

[00:42:34] So

[00:42:34] Oh no bones

[00:42:35] It's like an ant

[00:42:36] That's all exoskeleton

[00:42:37] You did make

[00:42:38] I feel like you actually did try to make an argument

[00:42:40] Maybe clevor

[00:42:41] Was a slug or didn't have bones

[00:42:43] But it's an ant

[00:42:44] It's like a rock

[00:42:46] Rocks aren't bones

[00:42:47] But don't they have a skeleton

[00:42:48] Probably like structure is like bone

[00:42:50] So obviously an ant isn't a slug

[00:42:53] And just to be clear

[00:42:54] Slugs are not insects

[00:42:56] They're modest

[00:42:57] I'm not

[00:42:58] I want to be clear

[00:42:59] I'm not arguing that in the slug

[00:43:01] Yeah they're just not even slug a Jason

[00:43:03] They're pretty far

[00:43:05] I'm just going to remind you of Doug's

[00:43:07] motto

[00:43:08] Oh yeah

[00:43:09] The famous motto

[00:43:10] That probably both

[00:43:12] Dr. Levine and I

[00:43:13] Could both just say off the top of our heads

[00:43:15] Let's try it

[00:43:17] Try search for

[00:43:18] You have to search for your own motto

[00:43:21] Um, no throne

[00:43:23] Bugs, slugs, crabs, clams

[00:43:26] Little octopods and other boneless bots

[00:43:29] If it ain't got a bones

[00:43:31] Get thrown

[00:43:32] Of course

[00:43:33] Thank you for saying it with me, Joshua

[00:43:35] Just knew it off the top

[00:43:36] We heard that we said the whole first half

[00:43:37] In perfect sync

[00:43:38] So it sounded like just one person saying it

[00:43:41] Yeah

[00:43:41] It did seem to me that

[00:43:43] The bug part of that was a pretty nice crutch

[00:43:47] For you

[00:43:47] Otherwise you would have a very small team

[00:43:50] Bugs don't have bones

[00:43:51] No, I don't have a small team

[00:43:52] I have a full team of six eligible

[00:43:55] Uh, slugs and

[00:43:57] A lot of slugs waiting in the wings

[00:43:58] I think everything is eligible

[00:44:00] We're going to talk about the eligibility

[00:44:02] And then that's when

[00:44:03] You know the problem arises

[00:44:06] Who else is on your team?

[00:44:07] Well my last one is

[00:44:09] Surebosh

[00:44:10] The alpha-good

[00:44:11] Definitely

[00:44:11] Now this is a debate

[00:44:13] Well definitely a snail

[00:44:14] But we have to say it's snail

[00:44:15] Gotta be snail

[00:44:16] That's what you think about that

[00:44:17] But you need his sui and goodra

[00:44:19] His sui and goodra

[00:44:20] I mean, you know somehow

[00:44:22] This is real creepy

[00:44:23] Google

[00:44:24] Once I put in the age

[00:44:25] Put in his sui and goodra

[00:44:27] So

[00:44:27] Maybe you've spent some time on alpha

[00:44:30] On a

[00:44:31] For affinity.net

[00:44:32] I will say

[00:44:33] That goodra has one aspect

[00:44:35] Which is very very important for slugs

[00:44:38] Which is that they excrete mucus

[00:44:40] And he is gooey

[00:44:42] And in this image on

[00:44:44] Boba Pedia

[00:44:45] There's really just goo

[00:44:46] Coming off his chin

[00:44:47] Off his hands

[00:44:48] This trips

[00:44:49] So

[00:44:49] Yeah, I think it's one

[00:44:50] It just chooses to take the shape of a dragon

[00:44:53] But it's really just a big like

[00:44:55] Snail

[00:44:56] Body

[00:44:57] So

[00:44:58] That's what I worry

[00:44:58] It may and back be a snail

[00:45:01] Not a slug

[00:45:02] Those are two different things

[00:45:03] Gumi

[00:45:04] Snail's not a mollusk too

[00:45:06] They're both mollusk

[00:45:07] Snail is a slug

[00:45:09] Snail's a slug with a shell

[00:45:10] Mike, come on

[00:45:11] Okay

[00:45:12] So

[00:45:13] They are evolutionally related

[00:45:15] But and they are both part of the family of mollusk

[00:45:17] But they are not the same thing

[00:45:19] And actually the important thing

[00:45:21] Like sea slugs for example

[00:45:22] Are snails that lost their shells

[00:45:25] Over time

[00:45:26] Revolution

[00:45:27] So

[00:45:28] It's kind of where all those shells came from

[00:45:32] Not sure that's how evolution works

[00:45:34] But so in the sense that you know

[00:45:37] We're related to a bunch of primates

[00:45:39] That is true

[00:45:41] But I wouldn't call

[00:45:42] Primate a human Pokemon for example

[00:45:45] Would you

[00:45:45] I think Steve

[00:45:47] Human would have a lot of problems

[00:45:49] I don't know about

[00:45:50] Yeah, Steve Human would have a lot of problems with this

[00:45:53] The people he's chooses to hang out with

[00:45:57] That being said

[00:45:58] I actually think the non-historian Gugra

[00:46:01] Is more likely

[00:46:02] Yeah that's a slug

[00:46:04] Because the whole thing

[00:46:05] It's a slug

[00:46:05] Getting the steel part

[00:46:07] Is that it gets the shell

[00:46:09] Even though it has a little shell when it's

[00:46:11] Slugoo

[00:46:11] Even when it's normal

[00:46:13] Gugra does not have a shell

[00:46:15] So I think Gugra

[00:46:17] So they're

[00:46:18] Slug

[00:46:18] Yeah if we were back home

[00:46:20] In modern day Sino

[00:46:22] I'd be rocking a Gugra

[00:46:23] But now it's stuck in fucking old Hesui

[00:46:25] There is one other problem with Gugra

[00:46:28] So

[00:46:29] We don't know the fact about slugs

[00:46:30] Is that the whole thing is actually called

[00:46:33] Body is called the foot

[00:46:34] Because it's one big muscle that's basically

[00:46:37] But now

[00:46:39] Gugra has feet

[00:46:40] It has two feet

[00:46:41] No that's just like

[00:46:42] It's good

[00:46:43] Gugfees

[00:46:44] Slugs can kind of take any shape Mike

[00:46:46] That interpretation of what a slug could be

[00:46:51] But I would say

[00:46:52] They have one of my

[00:46:53] The appendages

[00:46:53] They have like antennae

[00:46:55] They have one of my key questions

[00:46:57] Four tentacles

[00:46:58] And it does have four tentacles on its head

[00:47:00] It has two big ones and two small ones

[00:47:02] That is very slug-like

[00:47:03] I agree

[00:47:04] Can slugs have necks

[00:47:05] Or heads

[00:47:06] Or they basically go on that

[00:47:07] Let's get into my team

[00:47:09] They probably get into the head

[00:47:10] Or necks

[00:47:11] Or anything like that

[00:47:12] Or horns

[00:47:13] All right

[00:47:15] Let's go through Doug Farmer slug charmers

[00:47:18] List here

[00:47:19] Slug starter alpha-west sea gastrodon

[00:47:22] Definitely a slug

[00:47:23] Gastrodon

[00:47:24] Well that's gonna relate to

[00:47:26] Dr. Levine's snail sea slug thing

[00:47:30] Yes it is literally defined as the sea slug Pokemon

[00:47:33] So you definitely

[00:47:34] You definitely get this one

[00:47:36] It is literally a slug Pokemon

[00:47:38] So you win this one

[00:47:40] Great because I have two of those

[00:47:41] Slug partner alpha-easy gastrodon

[00:47:44] Level 75

[00:47:45] That's probably cleared

[00:47:47] Rock harder alpha-steelix

[00:47:49] Level 75

[00:47:51] Now we just go by the polka decks by the way

[00:47:54] Mike

[00:47:54] I know

[00:47:55] You know why we brought you on

[00:47:56] We can check the polka decks

[00:47:57] Tatter and chuster loads

[00:47:59] Vives

[00:48:00] I was thinking about what makes a polka monosug

[00:48:03] I was trying to make it a little more flexible for you

[00:48:06] So maybe some of your Pokemon

[00:48:07] Would actually qualify in some

[00:48:09] Yeah very

[00:48:10] You know I'm also a physicist

[00:48:11] So you know we have a phrase in physics called the Spiracle Cow

[00:48:15] See what

[00:48:16] So in biophysics

[00:48:18] You use physics to solve problems in biology

[00:48:21] So often you have to simplify things quite a bit

[00:48:23] So there's this joke that

[00:48:24] To a physicist

[00:48:25] A good approximation of a cow is a sphere

[00:48:28] Because if you keep getting rid of details

[00:48:31] Everything is basically

[00:48:33] These like simple things like a sphere

[00:48:35] So I'm trying to get rid of some details

[00:48:36] What a slug is

[00:48:38] So you qualify some of your problems

[00:48:40] And steelix definitely

[00:48:41] That's like the argument that Tanner tried to use with rotom

[00:48:45] Or one of our other reasons

[00:48:47] We were going to talk about rotom later I think

[00:48:49] But we will

[00:48:50] Here's what we'll say about steelix

[00:48:52] So what makes something a slug

[00:48:54] So slugs bodies are majority water

[00:48:56] It's like 80% to 90% water

[00:48:59] Is there those big steel balls

[00:49:01] That steelix is made out of just full of water

[00:49:03] He's heavy

[00:49:04] Now you could imagine rocks

[00:49:07] They're rocks

[00:49:08] No it's steel

[00:49:09] It starts as an onyx

[00:49:11] It starts as an onyx

[00:49:13] Yeah it starts as solid

[00:49:14] Pile of rocks

[00:49:15] And the secondary thing they excrete mucus

[00:49:18] Right this like water based substance

[00:49:21] That comes from their body

[00:49:22] So would you have

[00:49:24] The rock or steel equivalent of a slug

[00:49:27] Where instead of it being 80% to 90% water

[00:49:29] It's 80% to 90% steel

[00:49:31] And excrete steel from its body

[00:49:33] Now

[00:49:34] If you use that description

[00:49:36] I think steelix could be a steel slug

[00:49:39] Now does steel slugs really exist?

[00:49:41] No

[00:49:41] But in a lab we could make one maybe

[00:49:43] Oh yes

[00:49:44] And then definitely and hold his sui they exist

[00:49:46] Apparently

[00:49:49] Rock

[00:49:50] So that's the slug

[00:49:51] It could be a slug

[00:49:53] If we really get flexible

[00:49:56] According to a biophysicist

[00:49:58] Steelix is a slug

[00:49:59] That's the word

[00:50:00] Charger

[00:50:00] Shiny Pornigon Z

[00:50:02] Same argument

[00:50:03] It's obviously not a slug

[00:50:05] But it could be

[00:50:06] The digital analogue of a slug

[00:50:08] It's a good digital slug

[00:50:09] Its body is made

[00:50:11] It's got all that of information

[00:50:12] And see

[00:50:13] That's what I argued actually

[00:50:15] That's why I allowed him to have Pornigon in the first place

[00:50:18] Even though as we'll get into

[00:50:19] I'm not sure that slugs can have like sharp corners

[00:50:22] And be pointy and stuff

[00:50:23] So doesn't have sharp corners

[00:50:24] Pornigon Z

[00:50:26] Doesn't

[00:50:27] And because I think it's a digital

[00:50:29] Construction even though I took some heat

[00:50:32] On ex the site formerly known as Twitter

[00:50:34] I took the heat on behalf of Tanner

[00:50:36] And I defended the Pornigon Z

[00:50:38] I do think is a slug

[00:50:39] And it's a digital cluz-

[00:50:41] Baby

[00:50:42] And you know the other things that slugs can do

[00:50:44] I think she's wet

[00:50:45] Slugs can release parts of their body

[00:50:48] As bait

[00:50:48] And then regrow them

[00:50:50] And if you haven't noticed

[00:50:51] Pornigon Z's head isn't even attached to its body

[00:50:54] It's not

[00:50:55] Wow

[00:50:55] So that was one of my questions

[00:50:57] If you chopped off part of a slug

[00:50:58] We'll regen it

[00:51:00] So I don't think you can like cut it in half

[00:51:03] Necessarily

[00:51:04] But it does use some of its body as bait

[00:51:07] In like a kind of way to defend itself

[00:51:10] Or get things to come near it

[00:51:12] Because if it wants to escape a pander

[00:51:14] It can just like

[00:51:14] Pop off part of its body

[00:51:16] It amputates part of its tail

[00:51:17] And then

[00:51:18] Well that's cool

[00:51:18] It runs away

[00:51:20] I wish I could do that

[00:51:21] Yeah, it's mostly

[00:51:22] Stubborn on Z

[00:51:24] But

[00:51:24] And then we

[00:51:25] There's slime armor alpha goodger

[00:51:27] You've already checked

[00:51:28] So it's five for six

[00:51:30] That one's pretty

[00:51:30] And then hug's water

[00:51:32] Manifee

[00:51:33] Okay

[00:51:33] 75

[00:51:34] So I am going to argue

[00:51:36] That Manifee is the most slug

[00:51:38] Of all the Pokemon on your team

[00:51:40] Here's why

[00:51:41] If you go to the ball with pd

[00:51:43] There's a very important fact about

[00:51:45] Manifee

[00:51:46] 80% of its body is water

[00:51:48] And

[00:51:49] Wow

[00:51:49] Slugs are 80% water

[00:51:51] Very important fact about slugs

[00:51:53] So we'll have the line

[00:51:54] You know that

[00:51:55] There's a lot of water in humans

[00:51:56] That is true

[00:51:57] Well we have bones

[00:51:59] We have bones

[00:52:00] We definitely have bones

[00:52:02] The other interesting thing about Manifee

[00:52:04] So one of the reasons why I went to

[00:52:06] Ball with pd is to look at their attacks

[00:52:08] To kind of an idea

[00:52:09] What they can do with their body

[00:52:11] And one attack

[00:52:12] Manifee can learn

[00:52:13] Cross with a face

[00:52:14] Acid armor

[00:52:15] And that is like admitting

[00:52:17] So can good

[00:52:17] A mucus from your body

[00:52:19] So it actually

[00:52:21] Manifee almost clicks all of the boxes

[00:52:23] Of what defines a slug

[00:52:25] Big slug energy

[00:52:26] And it doesn't really have feet

[00:52:28] Learn

[00:52:29] Passive armor

[00:52:30] I think I was figuring out his loopholes

[00:52:32] For the next round

[00:52:33] All right

[00:52:33] So actually it seems like

[00:52:35] Doug Farmer slug charmer's final team

[00:52:39] Passes the test

[00:52:40] Shit

[00:52:40] I would

[00:52:41] I would say that

[00:52:42] With a couple of

[00:52:43] A couple ones we have to really make spherical cows

[00:52:47] Otherwise

[00:52:48] Not that bad

[00:52:49] Stands up to the scientific method

[00:52:51] Doctor approved

[00:52:52] Manifee was a great choice

[00:52:54] I was very surprised

[00:52:55] We realized that

[00:52:56] Admitical Pokemon

[00:52:58] Is really just a slug

[00:52:59] It's just a slug

[00:53:01] Well, I do a lot of research

[00:53:03] Before I choose my theme

[00:53:05] Yeah you can tell

[00:53:06] He does it's not like

[00:53:07] He's not just like pulling from the hip on those

[00:53:09] To make sure I can have more than six

[00:53:11] I will mention also

[00:53:12] My wife mentioned that she thought

[00:53:14] Ditto was a slug

[00:53:16] Now

[00:53:16] The cool thing

[00:53:17] And counter to that

[00:53:18] Manifee is a weird Pokemon

[00:53:20] It's a mythical Pokemon

[00:53:21] But it can be bred

[00:53:22] And it can only be bred with one other Pokemon

[00:53:24] Do you know a Pokemon that is

[00:53:25] Ditto

[00:53:26] Ditto

[00:53:27] Just ditto

[00:53:27] Because ditto can be bred with anyone right

[00:53:29] Yes

[00:53:30] So it can only be bred with ditto

[00:53:32] And weird

[00:53:33] Or ditto is the slug

[00:53:34] So there's definitely no bones in there

[00:53:36] There's definitely no bones in there

[00:53:37] What is this body made out of

[00:53:39] I don't really know

[00:53:40] I always think of it as

[00:53:42] Like a stem cells

[00:53:43] Gellos

[00:53:43] It's like a jello made of stem cells

[00:53:45] Yeah, it's very unclear

[00:53:47] But it can breed with

[00:53:48] It's like a slug made of stem cells

[00:53:49] Sorry

[00:53:50] To your wife's point

[00:53:51] And the weird thing is when

[00:53:52] Manifee and ditto breed

[00:53:54] They don't make Manifees or ditos

[00:53:55] They make bones

[00:53:57] Fions

[00:53:58] And right

[00:53:59] Eons are basically also so

[00:54:00] The ways

[00:54:01] The ways that the Pokemon

[00:54:02] They're also the work

[00:54:03] Not a evolution

[00:54:05] On the evolutionary line

[00:54:06] Which is Manifees

[00:54:07] So therefore completely useful

[00:54:08] Completely different Pokemon

[00:54:10] That just happen to look

[00:54:11] Almost the same

[00:54:12] Very strange

[00:54:13] Well you're the scientist

[00:54:14] You know all about that stuff

[00:54:16] Evolutionary dead ends

[00:54:17] You have nothing in there

[00:54:19] It honestly seems

[00:54:20] Like the fun of the cloud

[00:54:21] A fully inferior Manifee

[00:54:23] I'm not really sure I understand

[00:54:25] No, I caught all the fun

[00:54:26] They have the same stats

[00:54:27] And the furiating

[00:54:29] Yeah

[00:54:29] You would blow a

[00:54:31] National deck slot on fion

[00:54:33] Yeah, I don't make any sense

[00:54:34] Let's do a couple

[00:54:35] Couple of a

[00:54:36] Couple of other ones from

[00:54:37] The rest of the season

[00:54:38] Well we have to talk about our battle

[00:54:39] Really quick

[00:54:40] Oh, because then we have to talk

[00:54:41] About what happens at the end of the battle

[00:54:42] We have this big final fantasy battle

[00:54:44] With

[00:54:45] Vola

[00:54:46] Which is how you got your nickname

[00:54:47] By the way

[00:54:48] We had to believe it at the beginning

[00:54:49] Also welcome to the show

[00:54:51] My cardio

[00:54:52] I will

[00:54:53] Lucario

[00:54:54] My cardio

[00:54:55] Yeah, you got it

[00:54:55] Because Volo has a

[00:54:57] Lucario

[00:54:58] And Volo

[00:54:59] Makes you fight them

[00:55:00] And then

[00:55:01] Volos got a hell of a team

[00:55:03] Spiritume

[00:55:03] Toja Kis

[00:55:04] Arcanine

[00:55:05] Garchomp

[00:55:05] Rosarade

[00:55:06] It's a cardio

[00:55:07] All level 68

[00:55:08] One of the hardest battles

[00:55:10] I played

[00:55:11] Probably the hardest since

[00:55:13] Cynthia

[00:55:13] I would say

[00:55:14] Me too

[00:55:14] Garchomp was definitely the hardest

[00:55:16] I feel like Toja Kis is the bigger problem for you

[00:55:18] Because Toja Kis was a huge problem for me

[00:55:21] Also

[00:55:22] Shotded out of this guy with Portagons

[00:55:23] I did teach one of the moves

[00:55:26] That I taught to

[00:55:28] Samarot was ice beam

[00:55:30] When I was doing the training

[00:55:31] And that was super helpful in this whole situation

[00:55:33] And play rough

[00:55:34] I opened with Luxray

[00:55:36] Who was able to one shot spiritume

[00:55:39] And spiritume

[00:55:40] I think historically

[00:55:41] In my experience is

[00:55:43] One of the most

[00:55:44] Horrifying Pokemon

[00:55:45] To actually go up against

[00:55:46] So I got lucky

[00:55:48] That's an interesting one

[00:55:49] It's spiritume

[00:55:50] Toja Kis

[00:55:51] Just a slug sticking out of it

[00:55:52] Well it's a snail

[00:55:53] Sorry

[00:55:54] Well I think it is habits

[00:55:56] The little rock thing that's underneath it

[00:55:59] But it's only in its ghost dark

[00:56:00] So you have a lot of leeway there

[00:56:02] Yeah, it's attached to the rock

[00:56:04] It's a ghost that jump how

[00:56:06] Comes out of the rock

[00:56:08] Oh no

[00:56:09] Because that's kind of like a shell

[00:56:10] Is it

[00:56:11] That's like a foot

[00:56:13] Looks like a foot to me

[00:56:14] It does kind of look like a foot

[00:56:16] It could be like a slug attached to a stone

[00:56:18] One two three four

[00:56:19] Oh no there's five appendages coming up

[00:56:21] There are there's a few

[00:56:22] There's one too many

[00:56:24] It is a sweet looking Pokemon

[00:56:26] This is a male we're looking at

[00:56:27] This is a male

[00:56:29] Both

[00:56:30] The image

[00:56:31] Spiritume has genders

[00:56:32] Yeah, it's actually about to check the spiritume of genders

[00:56:35] It feels like

[00:56:37] It can learn all of the attacks

[00:56:39] And one of those is toxic

[00:56:41] And

[00:56:42] Excreting venom

[00:56:43] Yeah exactly

[00:56:45] Just really venomous mucus maybe

[00:56:47] All right

[00:56:48] Keep playing it could get a spiritume

[00:56:50] It's in the game

[00:56:51] Take down Volo out of the

[00:56:53] To tear in space time

[00:56:55] It rubs

[00:56:56] Definite slug

[00:56:57] Gyrotina

[00:56:59] Okay

[00:56:59] Although not in

[00:57:01] I will say to the point you're about to make

[00:57:04] Not in this form

[00:57:05] So which part are we talking about?

[00:57:07] It's origin so this is a three-part battle

[00:57:10] Yeah

[00:57:10] Normal battle with Volo

[00:57:12] Then Gyrotina

[00:57:14] In its normal like mini leg

[00:57:16] Ugly form

[00:57:17] Dynasties form

[00:57:18] But then there's a third part

[00:57:21] And it turns into worm slash

[00:57:24] Snake or slugs

[00:57:25] Just looking

[00:57:26] By the way

[00:57:27] Yeah, I don't know if you remember Josh

[00:57:30] Yeah they're right at the bar

[00:57:31] Are worm slugs

[00:57:31] We had a discussion about Gyrotina

[00:57:34] Because I think Gyrotina is close to a slug

[00:57:37] It's like a slug with some armor on it

[00:57:40] Yeah

[00:57:40] Well look at its origin for me

[00:57:42] Yeah the origin for me is great

[00:57:44] It looks great

[00:57:45] I'm always disappointed

[00:57:46] It is an improvement as well

[00:57:47] I love Gyrotina and Pokemon Go

[00:57:50] But the regular form

[00:57:52] The origin form sucks

[00:57:54] But Gyrotina looks badass in the origin form

[00:57:56] And it is a slug in origin form

[00:57:58] So viable

[00:57:59] But I didn't catch it

[00:58:01] I just killed Volo

[00:58:03] And sent him back to hell

[00:58:05] Ah that's right

[00:58:06] Vanished them to hell

[00:58:07] And then I'm free

[00:58:08] I'm in the woods

[00:58:09] I'm gonna do whatever I want

[00:58:10] Let's talk about some of the other slugs we encountered

[00:58:12] Along the slugs we met along the way

[00:58:15] Yes

[00:58:16] So

[00:58:16] Just this episode before it came on Mike

[00:58:18] Creselia

[00:58:19] Slug

[00:58:20] We called it a moon slug

[00:58:21] Okay so some slug

[00:58:22] Oh sorry

[00:58:23] You said Gyrotina physiology

[00:58:25] You probably don't know a lot about moon physiology though

[00:58:28] I mean

[00:58:28] You know about this one might be outside of your pay grade

[00:58:30] There is

[00:58:31] There is astro-bio-physics or something like that

[00:58:34] I know nothing about that

[00:58:36] Okay

[00:58:37] But a PhD there

[00:58:38] It could be what a slug would look like on the moon

[00:58:40] It looks pretty space adjacent

[00:58:43] Well

[00:58:44] And it is like the moon or Pokemon

[00:58:46] It drops things called lunar feathers

[00:58:49] And can a slug have feathers

[00:58:51] So that's where I would say

[00:58:52] I don't think slug is gonna have feathers

[00:58:55] And

[00:58:56] And tether-like appendages

[00:58:57] It doesn't really have that some

[00:58:59] That's some layman like Josh would call a feather

[00:59:03] It doesn't quite have

[00:59:05] Many attacks

[00:59:07] That could make it seem like it emits mucus

[00:59:10] Except for potentially missed

[00:59:13] It can learn missed

[00:59:14] And like maybe the mist comes out of your body

[00:59:16] The other thing it has going for is body slam

[00:59:19] Because if you imagine you wear a slug Pokemon

[00:59:22] And you're just one big muscle

[00:59:23] You're slamming your body into them

[00:59:25] Now I know body slamsters to use slam their body

[00:59:28] I'm not really sure I understand how Creselia

[00:59:30] Slams people's bodies

[00:59:32] Hey Gents

[00:59:33] Hey Gents

[00:59:34] Sorry

[00:59:34] Hey Gents

[00:59:35] Oh no

[00:59:36] Sorry to back us up a little bit

[00:59:38] Let me pop into the chat here

[00:59:40] Oh

[00:59:41] Tanner's found some literature

[00:59:42] I hope it's not from Furofinity. Don't know

[00:59:44] It's definitely gonna be

[00:59:46] He's linked to something called iNaturalist.org

[00:59:50] Feather-Alyd

[00:59:52] Fiona-Pinata

[00:59:54] Common name Fiona is a species of small, phthalgic,

[00:59:57] new to branch

[00:59:59] Princess E.C. Slug

[01:00:00] A marine gastropod, Mollusk, in the super family

[01:00:04] With her feathers

[01:00:04] Mia-no-Dia

[01:00:05] Mainly on barnacles, specifically goose barnacles

[01:00:08] In the genus

[01:00:09] Not interesting. Stop reading about its diet

[01:00:11] It has feathers

[01:00:12] Hey we're here! This is like a

[01:00:14] Rear Rainbow basically

[01:00:16] We're just here to tell the feathers

[01:00:17] The more they should know

[01:00:18] Here's what I'm gonna say

[01:00:19] They're not actual feathers

[01:00:21] They just look like feathers

[01:00:23] There's no link with them

[01:00:25] There are actual feathers

[01:00:26] They look like feathers

[01:00:27] To these lay people like Josh

[01:00:29] But Melis-But

[01:00:31] Counter to that is in modern day Sino

[01:00:35] In modern day Sino

[01:00:36] Crasselia still has lunar feathers

[01:00:39] And they are still called that

[01:00:40] Which implies

[01:00:41] As the science advanced

[01:00:43] People were still classifying them as feathers

[01:00:46] Clinging to their tradition

[01:00:47] Unless you're making the Jurassic Park argument

[01:00:49] We're like

[01:00:50] You know making the Jurassic Park argument

[01:00:52] The raptors and everything started off

[01:00:54] With they just have to

[01:00:55] You wanted to touch Ootom

[01:00:56] Look we still call them Feather-Sugs

[01:00:59] And maybe we still call them lunar feathers

[01:01:02] Because it just sounds nice

[01:01:03] I will say I scroll down on that

[01:01:06] I natras website a little bit farther

[01:01:08] And there is a description of the snail penis

[01:01:11] I...

[01:01:13] So the snail can't do a pack of feathers

[01:01:15] So the spiritum is a snail

[01:01:17] Check

[01:01:18] Oh right, I guess I should have

[01:01:19] That should have been my first question actually

[01:01:21] Was whether or not slugs can have penises

[01:01:24] Yeah which they can

[01:01:26] As many as they want

[01:01:27] Yeah

[01:01:27] As many as they want

[01:01:29] You wanted to talk about rotom

[01:01:31] Yeah okay

[01:01:33] You have to get into the rotom issue

[01:01:34] So I was thinking about rotom

[01:01:36] I have one more after that too

[01:01:38] Because if we're willing to say

[01:01:40] That Poryon Z being made purely out of information

[01:01:44] Is like the information equivalent

[01:01:46] Of the water and a slug

[01:01:49] Can you say that about rotom

[01:01:50] That like electricity

[01:01:51] That's what I trusted it

[01:01:52] Maybe

[01:01:53] But it doesn't really

[01:01:55] It's a word with electricity

[01:01:58] And it doesn't emit like an electric mucus

[01:02:01] It actually like goes inside things

[01:02:03] Right

[01:02:04] There is a wash rotom

[01:02:06] It does, it goes into a washing machine

[01:02:09] That's the water type one

[01:02:10] I feel like that's more like going into a shell

[01:02:13] So maybe you could argue it's a snail

[01:02:15] Yeah I don't think it's a slug

[01:02:17] Sorry let me ask you this

[01:02:19] Dr. Levine

[01:02:20] Is there a type of slug

[01:02:23] That goes into and out of a shell

[01:02:26] And can kind of go back and forth between

[01:02:28] Being a slug in a snail

[01:02:29] Well there is a research question about

[01:02:32] Our slugs just snails looking for a shell

[01:02:35] You can find this on

[01:02:37] What state do you think poses this question

[01:02:39] What state in the US

[01:02:40] Forra

[01:02:41] Alabama

[01:02:42] It is on the Iowa Department of Natural Resources website

[01:02:47] This is

[01:02:49] The state of the people of Iowa have to know

[01:02:51] They have to know

[01:02:52] This was apparently a hot topic in 2000

[01:02:54] They will jerry mandor until they can get to the bottom of that being wrong

[01:02:59] This very short article that they did in Israelis on

[01:03:03] Has 18,000 views

[01:03:05] So the people of Iowa

[01:03:06] That's pretty much all of Iowa

[01:03:07] As I understand it

[01:03:08] It's like a what's what they vote on

[01:03:11] Yeah so that's where it brings them out to the poll

[01:03:13] Stants

[01:03:14] If that's not on the ballot

[01:03:17] Nobody is going out to vote

[01:03:18] Apparently slugs have something that looks like

[01:03:22] It used to be a shell in their body

[01:03:25] But it's usually inside their body

[01:03:27] Not outside their body

[01:03:28] So yeah right

[01:03:30] That feels uncomfortable

[01:03:32] Get into some complex topics pretty soon

[01:03:34] So I'm going to redirect

[01:03:37] I don't think

[01:03:37] Talk about

[01:03:38] I don't think we're a tough is this like

[01:03:40] Who's your last one

[01:03:41] Well I realize I have two

[01:03:43] No I'm sorry

[01:03:45] Who's your next one

[01:03:45] I think based on the

[01:03:47] Maniface situation

[01:03:49] The late guardians are probably going to get cleared

[01:03:51] Okay so I was wondering about this

[01:03:54] They have feet we decided

[01:03:56] They very clearly have feet

[01:03:58] But what about this corporeal form versus ethereal form situation

[01:04:02] That is a good question

[01:04:04] Seemingly projecting a version of themselves

[01:04:08] And it looks like it may or may not have bones in a manifee way

[01:04:12] But there's nothing if I recall

[01:04:14] From the public media that indicates that they are full of water

[01:04:17] Or error

[01:04:19] They're not full of water

[01:04:21] They're more like pixies

[01:04:23] And I don't think we would say that

[01:04:24] Pixies are slugs or snails

[01:04:27] I'm not even interested in them

[01:04:29] I don't want them

[01:04:30] Darkry though

[01:04:31] We would build a slug right

[01:04:32] So

[01:04:33] Okay

[01:04:33] And I have evidence on this one

[01:04:35] So if I can open this up

[01:04:37] You have evidence

[01:04:38] I like it

[01:04:39] So I missed when you got your PhD

[01:04:42] Dr. Fiel said

[01:04:43] Well as we

[01:04:45] Why am I interested in your opinion on this

[01:04:47] As we've detailed in an earlier episode

[01:04:51] I've handled a lot of slimy

[01:04:54] Salamanders, frogs, slugs and that kind of thing

[01:04:58] So I may not have a PhD in it

[01:05:01] But

[01:05:01] And you haven't even put in mug and glide

[01:05:03] Well it's 10,000 hours like I have

[01:05:04] Did we just simultaneously send the same thing

[01:05:08] Is it?

[01:05:09] Yeah

[01:05:09] We did

[01:05:10] It's been brought to my attention

[01:05:14] That in the anime

[01:05:16] Dark and slide

[01:05:17] Perfectly

[01:05:18] Can have ways

[01:05:19] This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about

[01:05:21] And why he's a slug

[01:05:23] Josh

[01:05:23] Because you see, I'll let you do this like

[01:05:25] Point counterpoint

[01:05:26] You've got in this

[01:05:27] I'm glad we're all looking at the same picture here

[01:05:29] You've got this piece of like dark coral

[01:05:31] I'm not sure what that is

[01:05:32] And then you've got the red slug

[01:05:34] Here on

[01:05:35] Like it's kind of attached to the dark coral

[01:05:37] And then it's like

[01:05:39] Putting out some kind of like

[01:05:40] Tongue or appendage

[01:05:42] Or something

[01:05:42] That I think it uses to like

[01:05:44] Catch small shrimp

[01:05:46] So your argument is that

[01:05:48] Darkrai is only the red part of darkrai

[01:05:51] That's a zardine

[01:05:52] And the white part

[01:05:53] I argue with the

[01:05:54] He's crilly jack skeleton

[01:05:56] This is Pokemon Jack Skeleton

[01:05:59] And Jack Skeleton

[01:06:00] That's a good point

[01:06:01] Is a skeleton

[01:06:02] He is definitely not a slug

[01:06:04] Or a snail

[01:06:05] I guess I'm not seeing Jack Skeleton

[01:06:07] Do you mean like on top of the piece of

[01:06:09] Like dark coral

[01:06:11] I think there's just a

[01:06:12] Perponderance of evidence of like

[01:06:14] A lot of appendages

[01:06:16] That darkrai can have

[01:06:18] Like arms and legs

[01:06:20] Of the like plain of existence

[01:06:23] That it ex

[01:06:24] It lives on

[01:06:25] That's just too many

[01:06:26] Legs and arms

[01:06:27] And a bunch of other shit

[01:06:29] I thought with it a few times this week

[01:06:31] It's pretty crazy that

[01:06:32] There if you look at

[01:06:33] The darkrai legs

[01:06:35] Page on bobedia

[01:06:37] People have been uploading pictures

[01:06:39] Of specifically the legs

[01:06:41] Of darkrai

[01:06:42] Since 2011

[01:06:44] One user submit four

[01:06:46] On a day of

[01:06:47] Four different views of darkrai's legs

[01:06:49] From the anime

[01:06:50] And then a year later

[01:06:51] Someone named patty man

[01:06:52] Was like

[01:06:53] Here's a new one

[01:06:54] Here you go, gents

[01:06:55] Well

[01:06:56] I'm best heard to admit

[01:06:58] That was me

[01:06:59] That was you

[01:07:00] You're making that argument for decades

[01:07:03] You like called me being

[01:07:06] Doug Farmer

[01:07:07] Like

[01:07:07] Here's an advance

[01:07:08] Yeah

[01:07:09] I gotta get ahead of this

[01:07:11] All right, I gotta go

[01:07:12] It's getting late here

[01:07:13] In old Hesui

[01:07:15] Any others that you just want to

[01:07:16] Like sound off on

[01:07:17] Mike that you are

[01:07:18] Pretty confident or slugs

[01:07:20] Tiagoa pucke and not slugs

[01:07:21] I know that Josh has this

[01:07:23] When you give it the adamant

[01:07:24] Orp pucke

[01:07:25] It becomes

[01:07:26] Slightly more like a slug

[01:07:27] Yeah, but they're origin

[01:07:29] Form

[01:07:30] So it loses two arms

[01:07:32] I've seen their origin

[01:07:33] Forms quite a bit

[01:07:34] Because pucca on go

[01:07:35] This weekend

[01:07:36] They were all over New York City

[01:07:38] The origin forms of pucke and douga

[01:07:40] I probably caught like

[01:07:42] Hundreds of them

[01:07:43] Because I love

[01:07:43] Jump on one

[01:07:44] Origin-formed diagoa

[01:07:45] Right in the broadway

[01:07:47] Clearly has armor

[01:07:48] Clearly has four legs

[01:07:50] Like definitely

[01:07:51] Not a slug

[01:07:52] More like a centaur

[01:07:54] Which is still pretty badass

[01:07:56] They are centaurs

[01:07:57] Our centaur slugs

[01:07:58] No

[01:07:59] No

[01:08:00] Well, I guess

[01:08:01] While we have

[01:08:02] A doctor slug scientist here

[01:08:04] We should just do unknown hunter D

[01:08:08] Oh yeah

[01:08:10] And

[01:08:12] We can just say what our final numbers were

[01:08:16] On getting all of the unknowns

[01:08:18] And I got 22

[01:08:20] I

[01:08:21] Here's

[01:08:23] Here's what my

[01:08:24] Little eyes

[01:08:25] Did you get brutalized

[01:08:26] At the last

[01:08:27] You know, I love my game rally

[01:08:29] Here's what my

[01:08:30] Unowns spell out

[01:08:31] Nay

[01:08:32] Utt dates

[01:08:33] Nay Utt date

[01:08:34] Sorry, don't have S

[01:08:35] I don't have any

[01:08:36] Up so basically

[01:08:37] Because you

[01:08:38] No

[01:08:38] Fix

[01:08:38] You have 18

[01:08:40] So I got

[01:08:41] I got six more this week

[01:08:42] So fine

[01:08:44] Bingbong

[01:08:44] And uh

[01:08:45] And Mike

[01:08:46] You're the master hunter

[01:08:47] I take my

[01:08:48] Unowns

[01:08:49] Hunting steak and I drive it into my own heart

[01:08:51] Even though you name the segment

[01:08:53] After yourself

[01:08:54] Are you out of here?

[01:08:55] Unknown not slug

[01:08:57] How could they be slugs

[01:08:58] What is slug

[01:08:59] What is slug like

[01:09:00] Look at i-union

[01:09:01] Look at the exclamation point one

[01:09:02] Or the i-un

[01:09:03] Slug

[01:09:04] i-union

[01:09:05] Or exclamation point

[01:09:06] Their eyes

[01:09:07] They're just floating eyes

[01:09:09] There is

[01:09:10] They have that deep

[01:09:11] Slugs that big

[01:09:12] Beholders

[01:09:13] Are they beholders

[01:09:13] Like in uh

[01:09:14] Now there's slugs

[01:09:15] Actually

[01:09:16] Most of them are

[01:09:17] Unowns are really the holders

[01:09:20] Pokedex

[01:09:21] Check, let's just get out of legs

[01:09:22] You're fucking

[01:09:23] Burris me here

[01:09:24] I had one 92

[01:09:26] Scene 153 caught

[01:09:28] 209 scene

[01:09:29] 178 caught

[01:09:32] I didn't make it close enough

[01:09:34] To the barrier of 200

[01:09:36] Actually

[01:09:37] Try to go for

[01:09:37] Completing the pokedex

[01:09:39] We did both watch

[01:09:41] The

[01:09:43] True ending

[01:09:44] Uh

[01:09:45] Because you don't know

[01:09:47] If and when we will

[01:09:48] Fully complete the pokedex

[01:09:50] I will say that

[01:09:51] This is the first time in um

[01:09:53] Since gen 2

[01:09:54] Where i actually felt compelled

[01:09:56] To catch as many pokedmon as possible

[01:09:58] And go out on weird

[01:10:00] Digs like i found um

[01:10:01] Well it was an easy way to level up our pokedmon too

[01:10:03] Yeah and there's a couple of delightful

[01:10:05] I can't remember the name of the game

[01:10:07] Generate income

[01:10:08] You get so much money if you come back with like

[01:10:10] 60 pokedmon

[01:10:12] Although

[01:10:12] I did not crack uh

[01:10:14] Star rank

[01:10:15] 9. I'm still 8

[01:10:19] I didn't either but i am back in the game

[01:10:21] Because i did get 8

[01:10:21] So i'm back in the program

[01:10:23] I'm actually an evangelist

[01:10:24] I love star rank

[01:10:27] Sort of a war for life

[01:10:28] I think um

[01:10:29] I guess like if we're here

[01:10:31] He eats

[01:10:31] That's what they call us

[01:10:33] You know what i would say

[01:10:34] Soren

[01:10:34] Secret ending is arkius

[01:10:36] You get arkius

[01:10:37] You can have arkius

[01:10:37] Do you have arkius?

[01:10:38] Um

[01:10:39] No we didn't make it that far

[01:10:41] Maybe someday

[01:10:42] But my main comment on that was just going to be

[01:10:45] That uh

[01:10:46] You do not get an explanation

[01:10:48] Beyond arkius saying

[01:10:50] I brought you here from another time

[01:10:53] In order to patch up

[01:10:55] This uh space time problem

[01:10:57] That um

[01:10:58] We'll start it i guess

[01:10:59] But you're stuck here forever

[01:11:01] Enjoy tons of slugs

[01:11:03] Unfortunately

[01:11:04] Both of us are Levine's method

[01:11:06] Yeah

[01:11:06] Fortunately

[01:11:07] The pharma

[01:11:08] Did a good job

[01:11:09] I do wonder

[01:11:10] Because arkius has

[01:11:12] You know

[01:11:12] 18 different forms

[01:11:14] Now they give it the same art

[01:11:16] But is the water arkius a slug

[01:11:18] Oh sure

[01:11:18] Could be

[01:11:19] Yeah

[01:11:19] Could be

[01:11:19] I think it probably is

[01:11:21] All right that's it for us

[01:11:22] And that's it for

[01:11:23] Pokemon legends arkius

[01:11:26] Thank you for joining us

[01:11:27] This has been experience share

[01:11:29] I have been guiratanner

[01:11:30] I have been joined by reggie gash

[01:11:32] And my cardio

[01:11:33] Please do

[01:11:35] Rate and review the show on apple podcast

[01:11:36] And do follow the show ever there

[01:11:37] Follow podcast and do follow us

[01:11:38] At exp share pod on threads

[01:11:40] And instagram and x

[01:11:43] You can write

[01:11:43] So

[01:11:45] Reds

[01:11:46] I don't know what Tanner does on there

[01:11:48] I told him to

[01:11:49] Which chop it up

[01:11:49] I don't have the log in still

[01:11:51] He doesn't give it to me

[01:11:52] So

[01:11:53] I don't know what's happening over there

[01:11:54] Hope it's good

[01:11:55] Hope it's not

[01:11:56] What's your problematic

[01:11:59] I think it's probably problematic

[01:12:02] Speaking of problematic

[01:12:03] You can also check us out

[01:12:05] On the subreddit reddit.com slash

[01:12:07] R slash bug catchers

[01:12:09] Mike anything to say

[01:12:10] Um we try to have fun there

[01:12:12] We try to have fun

[01:12:12] We'll post stuff

[01:12:13] We do the level check

[01:12:14] You know people

[01:12:15] Often make posts

[01:12:17] Shitting on Tanner

[01:12:18] Sometimes shitting on Josh

[01:12:20] Especially ones

[01:12:21] You know

[01:12:21] They imply maybe that they weren't going to play the game

[01:12:23] There was a panic

[01:12:24] That you guys were just not going to play the rest of the game

[01:12:27] Luckily it sounds like you did

[01:12:28] But yeah actually didn't

[01:12:29] Because you didn't get arkius

[01:12:30] No you didn't get arkius

[01:12:31] Catch them all

[01:12:32] So if you want to go playing

[01:12:33] You would just be listening to silence

[01:12:35] For three weeks

[01:12:38] If you want to come and complain about how they didn't catch arkius

[01:12:41] We have a whole subreddit just for that

[01:12:43] And if you

[01:12:45] Want to follow our slug scientist here

[01:12:48] Dr. Michael Levine

[01:12:50] Where can they find you

[01:12:51] Yeah, I'm still on ex the website

[01:12:53] Formally known as Twitter

[01:12:54] Just as Michael V. Levine

[01:12:57] I mostly post about magic gathering

[01:12:59] So if you like magic gathering

[01:13:01] You yeah

[01:13:02] Then definitely follow me

[01:13:03] If you like science

[01:13:05] Slug pot that useful

[01:13:07] Lug planes rockers

[01:13:08] They've been getting pretty creative

[01:13:09] With the planes walkers recently

[01:13:11] They'll probably be a slug one eventually

[01:13:13] They just they have a sweet dog

[01:13:14] Plainswalker

[01:13:15] And there's this like one

[01:13:17] Plainswalker that goes in your dreams

[01:13:19] And they don't have like a definite form

[01:13:20] So maybe they're really a slug

[01:13:23] Now they think about it

[01:13:24] That would be kind of cool

[01:13:25] Yeah, they can write

[01:13:26] There's plenty of

[01:13:26] I search magic cards lug in this one

[01:13:28] A lot of slugs

[01:13:30] And to be honest I just

[01:13:31] So I play a lot of online magic these days

[01:13:33] And there's a new card that just came out called slime

[01:13:36] Like slime is against humanity

[01:13:38] And it just makes us oozes

[01:13:40] And I've been really into playing the ooze deck

[01:13:42] And I feel like ooze and slugs

[01:13:43] They're pretty

[01:13:44] Like it groups lug

[01:13:45] There's a theme called groups

[01:13:47] But that means that you're just like

[01:13:48] Beating everyone up

[01:13:49] Rather than specific people

[01:13:51] It's not unfortunately slugs

[01:13:53] Slugs

[01:13:54] Slug fast

[01:13:55] Oosing slugs

[01:13:56] Yeah

[01:13:56] But got my got my antennae up

[01:13:58] Magic is really into ooze

[01:14:00] They're technically tentacles

[01:14:02] Non-entana

[01:14:02] Hey me too, man

[01:14:05] Let's get out of here

[01:14:06] Thank you for joining us

[01:14:07] Dr. Michael Walsh

[01:14:09] We have every day

[01:14:09] Slug scientists

[01:14:10] And a lot of other types of science I guess

[01:14:12] All types of science

[01:14:14] Next week with

[01:14:16] Pokemon Unite

[01:14:17] We all fucking voted for it

[01:14:19] And it's fucking Pokemon Unite

[01:14:20] So we're going back to the AOS region

[01:14:23] Chef Greenring's been whipping up some

[01:14:25] Delicious meals over there

[01:14:27] For Dredant

[01:14:27] Neon Genesis Dredant

[01:14:29] Yeah and if you see us on there

[01:14:31] Brevander is on there

[01:14:33] And she's been on there

[01:14:34] And I've had a few rounds

[01:14:36] With people

[01:14:37] I don't know if their bug catchers are not

[01:14:39] You're going back to bug catchers now

[01:14:41] Bug pioneers is dead

[01:14:43] Back to bug catchers

[01:14:44] You were all

[01:14:44] Arceus was merciful

[01:14:46] Enough to send all of you back

[01:14:47] To your pathetic lives

[01:14:48] That's right

[01:14:49] But we have stuck in the bottom world

[01:14:50] Asui

[01:14:51] Roughen it

[01:14:52] So we will do a Pokemon Unite

[01:14:54] Update

[01:14:55] Yeah

[01:14:55] And then we got

[01:14:56] Scarlet Violet

[01:14:58] Wow we might also

[01:15:00] We might put in another episode of

[01:15:02] Something in between there

[01:15:03] But gear up for Scarlet and Violet

[01:15:05] Fuck your poll results

[01:15:06] Yeah

[01:15:07] Thank you Mike

[01:15:08] Thank you Joshua

[01:15:09] Thank you bug catchers

[01:15:11] See you next week

[01:15:11] Goodbye

[01:15:12] Oh and a Lola

[01:15:13] By the way

[01:15:13] A Lola

[01:15:15] A Lola

[01:15:16] Smell you later
